The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 3.0

Norton 360 is an Internet and PC security program with additional features. It can backup data and tune up your PC for better performance. Unlike many Internet security programs this one does not consume much of your system memory, which makes it a good program for users with low hardware resources. The Anti-Virus is pretty good in detecting viruses, spyware and other threats. It also has Identity protection, with an anti-phishing tool that works fine. The Backup feature enables a user to backup important data online or in the local drive itself.
The PC tuneup feature deletes unused temporary files, unwanted cookies and files and defragments the hard disk for optimizing your PC's performance. Moreover it can monitor the CPU usage of the system and the Startup manager turns off unnecessary applications to increase the speed when starting up the system.
One of the best feature of this product is Norton Insight which scans only those files that tends to be risky, which saves lots of time while scanning. The LiveUpdate feature updates the virus definition and program updates in every 5-15 minutes.
  • Low system memory usage.
  • Easy operation.
  • None.

— Norton 360 great protection
Pros: Notifies me of unwanted cookies, easy to use, great versatility, good price
Cons: Yes it does not have alot of back-up, but you don't need to back up your whole computer
Comment: I started using Norton 360 years ago and have not had a major crash from outside sources. Not getting a major attach from a trojan or worm doesn't mean it is not working, it means it IS working. I take vitamins and don't get sick a lot. I don't quit using them because I don't think they are not working, the fact that I don't get sick alot means they ARE working. I am going to continue using this great product (unless it gets too pricy).

The newest Norton 360 and Norton Internet Security are awful.
Although they might still provide great security, the sheer number of false positives that pop up from Insight and Sonar make you want to smash something.
The Norton 360 V3 I used with Vista didn't have these issues, this is all new.
Irsetup is not Malware Symantec - it's an installer made by Indigo Rose that's been flagged as an F/P by you - MalwareBytes and a few other companies.
It would take Symantec alot to look as bad as McAfeeble, but with results like this, they are headed that direction.

Norton 360 is being a bit sneaky when they say that you have "free" online back-up. he truth of the matter is that, depending on hw much you back-up, after the first "save" yo (conveniently for Norton) run out of capaity. Then, you are not allowed to elete your first back-up and rplace it with another. Instead you keep getting the message that you have n more space and need to BUY more space! Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky... This appears to me to be deliberate dishonesy, or at least a "Clinton-like" quibbling with the precise meaning of words. SNEAKY which indicates to me that Norton cannot be trusted. Program itself is otherwise fine
